Went back & took a pivotal point in History & through the Graphic Novel he reached out to a wider audience & told them a story such a beautiful story an almost Mythological story, an unbelievable story. The thing is it is true!. The only Bastion left in the then known world to stand free was Hellas, & an army big enough to drink the sea dry as many historian's put it eloquently. It all started with King LEONIDAS &The 300- 700 Thespis. His Heroism ( DUTY) Was to defend freedom if that meant his life, to Spartans to die in battle was an honour to die for freedom was divine. & So he did E TAN E EPI TAS- MOLON LABE. Such beautiful LACONIC ANSWERS that will accompany mankind till the end of time. TELL THEM IN SPARTA THAT WE OBEYED OUR ORDERS TILL THE LAST MAN. He Held back Mysticism & hate for three whole day's. So that as the Oracle had foretold a wooden wall(SHIPS) will triumph over the persians Two million, & that a king Had to fall. & so we Come to the Great General Themistocles of Athens who was a great battle strategist on the sea He knew he was left with no choice Like LEONIDAS live on you knees or die standing & free. The Answer FREEDOM as the old ones used to say the tree of freedom Grows only with Hero's Blood.In the OLYMPICS WE HAVE THE MARATHON WHY BECAUSE IT IS IN HONOUR OF A GREAT MAN A COUSIN TO THEMISTCLES HE FOUGHT AT MARATHON, & after the victory he ran that distance back to Athens wounded & uttered the word NIKIKAMEN. WE ARE VICTORIOUS. & fell & died. Lest we forget, Why the west exists as Many a historian have stated . The Groundbreaking effects we were introduced too in the 300 are Awesome! & the Story continues with The Rise of an Empire. Outstanding both are these films. These are two(2) movies that have to be placed in any decent collection Timeless.& it is at a grand price. On a lighter note Jesus That Eva Green! Is a dame to kill for!

This was hard to find anywhere else but of course Zavvi has it. Nice artwork and beautiful construction. Highly recommended! Movie and the Steelbook itself

Really good film, definitely worth getting the blu ray, great range of special features.
