I went into this series believing I would find it mediocre. Instead I was blown away by it. It is funny, action packed and over the top. Don't expect a deep plot however, however the plot is still okay. The characters were great and all had their own charm, even the love or loathe Mako. The music is fantastic and fits well with the over the top action, with almost every character having their own memorable theme. The collectors edition itself comes with a nice art-book which actually has a surprising amount of art in it. Personally I would have preferred more, but what is provided is still top notch. The box feels sturdy and the artwork on the box is great.
