one of the best vietnam war movies ever - honest, disgusting, brutal, violent in other words as realistic as a movie can be - a movie that definately shouts the antiwar song "war - what are we fighting for". on par with all quiet on the western front(1930s original)

For you war movie collectors this is a must have edition. I have been liking steelbooks for a while and purchasing from Zavvi has been a pleasure. For those who have seen "We Were Soldiers" you know it is a must have. Hopefully some more will be added in the near future.

this is a great addition to any buddies still book collection! The cover has great artwork and anyone who appreciates good war films will appreciate this steelbook. I would recommend it to all who collects them

One of my top three movies based on the Vietnam War. Everytime this movie was on t.v I had to watch it. I was stoked when Zavvi made a steelbook for this movie. We were Soldlers comes in a matte finish. The artwork is simple but effective. Recommend this steelbook and movie to any collector.

An outstanding account of the 1st real battle the American Army were involved in during the Vietnam War, the story is well told with real photo's used from the real battle. A great looking case too!

Anyone familiar with previous releases will be disappointed that Warner has once again not upgraded the audio to this gem of a film. This is a real disappointment as this type of film would benefit. It is very likely the same exact disc as before but with a snazzy Steelbook case.
