Wow! What can I say about this amazing show? Utterly brilliant! So good to see a modern day series about the Gomorra,the Naples mafia,of this calibre! Based on the book by Roberto Saviano(which also spawned a far less- brilliant film)it tells the story of the Savastano family- Don Pietro,Lady Imma,and son Gennaro the ruling family of the drug trade in Naples. We also see the story of Ciro a young ambitious soldier in the Savastano clan trying to work his way up the ladder. The story arcs and character development of these four main players is nothing short of amazing! We see the fall of the Don,the rise of his son,the wife proving herself capable in a mans game,and the ruthlessness of Ciro's ambitions. Lots of nice plot twists,a great soundtrack,a 'no one is safe' storyline,brilliant acting and shot with a very realistic look. In my top three shows of this year(along with True Detective and Love/Hate s5) and in my top ten of all time! Bring on the second season!

Great TV series it won't let you relax till the end.So realistic nicely structured!Separate kudos for video quality with is amazing,it almost passes for 35mm! And excellent value,highly recommend!
