Maybe not as amazing as some reviews make it out to be, it is never the less an extremely good movie, well written, directed and great acting, the only thing is its a little slower paced than you might have expected. That being said it does pick up the pace toward the end especially the final scene, which, thanks to Mickey Rourke sends a very strong message (which I won't give away) and makes you glad you watched and keeps you thinking for a while after.
