Gladiator is one of my favourite moview ever. I own the PAL DVD as well as the NTSC dvd. Both are excellent transfers with top notch sound. I bought the Blu-ray edition with high expectations but unfortunately image quality is just a bit better than the DVD editions. So is the sound. Low frequensy .1 is almost non-existed on my subwoofer, I had to raise all the way up the level to get some low frequencies instead of the DVD's DTS 6.1 soundtrak where there is a true dynamic score. The Blu-ray image is somewhere between a very good DVD and a very good Blu-ray. It is an average Blu-ray transfer. On the plus there are additional scenes originally deleted from the DVDs. Overall an average Blu-ray transfer and a bit dissapointing. Congratulations on Zavvi for the great customer service and the ultra-fast shipping.

'Gladiator' is one of my favourite movies and this blu-ray edition really enhances the movie. Worth the price.

I'm new to Blu-ray looks good on my new TV great price as well.
