What an absolute joke this steelbook is!!!!!! Looks like a kids tatoo stuck on the front and the back has T2 printed on that's not even clean lined, it's all wavy!!!! Pffffffft !!!! No inside artwork and a blank spine probably done on purpose so you can't find it in your collection and pull it out and think yeah this is sh*t!!After recieving the excellent T1 steelbook I expected a lot more from this release !!!!! Who actually let this through quality control ?? Stevie wonder?? Very disappointed in you zavvi !! I've had some poor quality steels recently from you and it looks like il be ordering a few less!!!!
Very poor showing for this release. It has lazy written all over it. It's clear no effort was put into this steelbook. The pressing isn't much better either so unless we get a proper remastered edition and not the DNR version we have here I wouldn't bother. Stick to your DVD or laserdisc.
This steelbook has no title on the spine, so when in a collection stacked like books you don't no what the film is. Also the art work is lazy and the font is wrong, won't comment on the art inside as there is none. The disc is the same as the skynet edition that you can pick up for a fiver. A lazy release worth avoiding especially at full price.
I was excited and to get hold of a copy of each of the Zavvi Terminator steelbook releases when they were announced for pre-order. That there is no consistency of design is disappointing, but the Terminator 2 steelbook is simply the worst steelbook I've ever purchased. It appears to have been chucked together without any thought or effort at all. The librarian in me is beyond appalled at the complete absence of any title on the steelbook spine. Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to be beaten around the head with a wet fish. The important sub-title "Judgement Day" is also missing. I'm now considering buying a used Skynet version of the steelbook to replace this and then ofloading this tat on anyone foolish enough to want it.
Someone really missed the bar with this one. Plain and simple there are two major problems with this one. 1) Case - It's incomplete, has no title on the spin, no artwork inside and the artwork that is there is poorly rendered. 2) Version available inside is the outdated Skynet Edition release from several years back. There is a newer transfer available for 2015 and they chose not to use it. The newer release from 2015 also contains a UV code, this one does not. Unless you're new to T2 avoid this one and get the new one.
It was all a little confusing with the delivery dates. At one time it was going to be New Year's Eve 2015! Anyway, after finally receiving the Steelbook I have to say it is just ok. The artwork is rudimentaryat best with no raised elements. What is most disappointing is that the spine of the case is blank, totally bereft of the film's title. There is no additional picture work inside the case either. Compared to the fantastic Terminator Steelbook this is poor indeed.
Whilst i still think the steelbook is of good quality for the most part, who in their right mind decided not to put the films title on the spine? Completely blank black spine, may look good but completely useless on the shelf with the rest of my collection.
This should have been a great steelbook. Sadly, it pretty weak, especially considering the movie is considered one of the best of the 90's and one of the greatest action movies ever. Odd front art - which looks great in certain lighting, but otherwise looks a bit amateurish, no graphics or even movie title on the spine - just black - and a gloss black T2 on the rear. Nothing inside at all but bare tin. As other reviewers haveointed out, it has no visual continuity with the T1 or T3 steelbooks Zavvi offers. I have lots of steelbooks, and this should've been one of the best. Instead it is one of the worst. Very disappoining. The bluray itself is the standard skynet edition disk, no decent 4k remaster or anything special. Hopefully Zavvi will have another crack at this in the future, maybe when Genysis is released or something.
front of Steelbook is great. Little disappointed that there is no title on spine or inside artwork .
The picture and sound are great, as are the MANY extras. This is all true of the conventional blu ray however. This steelbook is rather disappointing because there are no images at all inside. The front and back covers look good, but it's a shame there is nothing on the inside of the packaging. This was shown on the website, although I had assumed it was a prototype and images would be added to the inside before it was released.
