I purchased this. It came very quickly and was very impressed with the quality of it. Great movie as well.
Saw the film at the cinema, and just had to get this steelbook.
Not one of the best films but still a nice looking Steelbook
Very happy I choose this steelbook over the standard release. Features the 2 coolest looking characters from the movie so pure awesomeness imo
I love the steel book design, it makes displaying the TFA blu-"rey" alongside the rest of the Star Wars saga a perfect choice! Sound and picture quality is as expected flawless and the extras are great for those not interested heavily in behind the scenes features. For those who want more indepth BHTS then this maybe a bit lacking. But well worth price!
The 5 stars are for the design of the steel book. A new hope part 2 is maybe 3 stars but I can't not have it alongside the greats.
Shiny and beautiful cover. A must have for Star Wars fans.
Excellent film, like watching episode V all over again with a generous coating of cutting edge technology, this comes with a second bonus disc too.
It's not often a film can hit your nostalgia buttons in the right sequence but TFA did just that. For all the promise the prequel trilogy claimed to offer, it just didn't seem to be set in the same universe as the original films. That's not the case for this episode. With a greater emphasis on practical effects, a chance to meet new and interesting characters and to catch up with those we grew up watching on TV all those years ago, we've been given a film that hits all the right marks and allows the freedom to tell new stories in this galaxy far, far away.... Onto the Steelbook. Strong focus on the Dark Side with Kylo Ren on the front and Captain Phasma on the back. A very nice image of the Millennium Falcon on the inside where both discs are housed. Only one thing I would have preferred would be to have the film title on the spine of the case. Instead you get the promotional character face images from top to bottom, which is still a nice detail. Good extra features include a making of that clocks in at just shy of 70 minutes, brief deleted scenes and some shorter featurettes that cover subjects including special effects and music. There will no doubt be a super special edition with more features down the line but this will do until that (and the 3D version I so desperately covet) arrives.
A great film and a return to form for Star Wars. Although the film borders too closely at times to being a repeat of what has come before it mostly succeeds in being a homage to the original trilogy. In terms of the steelbook design, I'm a fan. It's a nice, minimalist cover showcasing the film's new, main villains. The extras are also great, although I suspect some are being held back for the inevitable super special edition release that follows. All in all a great purchase for a Star Wars fan.
