The steelbook itself has a lovely matte finish and although there isn't any embossing etc on the case, the overall design with the dark orange/red colours really suit the film. The spine and back of the case are the same. Inside there are 2 discs, one for the film and one with a bunch of special features for you to watch through. A digital UV version is also included. The artwork inside the steel is pretty good too. Overall the steelbook isn't anything special, but it really suits the film and has a lovely design. The film itself is also brilliant, so 5 stars overall!

One of the reasons I purchased this Steelbook was for the Title on the spine,second the extra footage within the film,its a great movie and the steelbook looks better than the original release,just a pity that the 3d disc isn't here

The movie is great (you don´t need the extended version though), so the Steelbook is worth its price. 3D would have been nice, but I can recomend it anyway.

This is one sweet Steelbook with a nicely done 1/4 slip from Fox. The Martian – Extended edition has artwork made in orange colours to match the beautiful visuals from Mars. The SteelBook edition comes with a matte varnish. The metallic shine creates the playful details such as the Mars texture in the white and the universe spinning around the lonely martians head. Just wanted to add that even though zavvi site states it is Region 2, it is actually Region Free. One of the most beautiful Bare Steelbook of 2016.

A movie that is excellent, with a steelbook that is all the Money!. The perfect Marriage. Nuff said highly recommended!!!.

Excelent movie based on a an awesome book in extended version with a bonus disc filled with great additional behind the scenes videos and documents. This is the proper Bluray edition of Martian and not the first one.

Great looking steelbook and the movie was better than I thought it would be. Glad to have it in my collection.

I have not seen the new extended edition of the movie yet so I won't be commenting on that. But what I can say is that the new steelbook is great. The artwork is beautiful and really fits the style of the film. My only negative is that the whole steelbook is a matte finish without any embossing or debossing.

A great film just got better! Even the steelbook is better than the previous one. Great added extras and fascinating commentary make this well worht it.
