The Anchor blu ray version is a great version of this classic British horror film and in spite of the New England setting and accents, it is a British outing. It reminds me at times of old black and white tv series like The Twilight Zone. It does the much-used plot of witches-from-Puritan-era rather well and the picture and sound are crystal clear. Town would be a better title than city but who’s worried? Ideal for a late night sitting with the lights out and a candle or two reflecting off your drinks glass

Excellent story and great acting. Good to see Lee in a witchcraft /psychological film instead of a creature feature or vampire flick. Watched it on DVD some years ago and the Blu Ray transfer in my opinion is superior. Some interesting extras and even though the film is entirely predictable it carries enough difference from the other films of this genre at the time to make it stand out Awesome.

Stunning release. Lovely black levels on the blu that give this atmospheric slow burn chiller even more atmosphere. Some great extras and  excellent Zavvi delivery and service 💀
