Dunkirk is a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray with an utterly reference HEVC / H.265 encoded 2160p transfer. Detail is frequently astounding, even on the wider shots, with skin textures keenly observed and background nuances brought to the fore. This is taken to another level for the full IMAX shots, which are sheer perfection. From the aerial sequences to the bombing runs across the crowded beach, to the claustrophobic ship interiors, Dunkirk is easily the best looking title of the recent Nolan 4K releases, and likely one of the best looking films you'll ever come across on the format. Dunkirk delivers some of the best video and audio that the Ultra HD affords, particularly with its native 4K DI based on 65mm and IMAX footage.

As you would expect from a modern film by such an esteemed director as Christopher Nolan this film is beautifully shot with crystal clear imagery in 4k.

At how life was back then for the young men who fought in the war. Not like most other war films. Not over dramatised but very humbling. Great picture quality and sound.

The video and audio quality is among the best in this format. It’s really an awesome audiovisual experience. From the sound of rifles being shot to the sirens of the Stukas divebombing. It really felt like you were there on the beaches. It’s only Nolan that can make what is ultimately an experimental film (don’t expect a traditional war movie) and dress it up and make it into a big budget blockbuster that is accessible to an wider audience. If you somehow missed it in the cinemas this is the closest you will get at home to experience Nolan’s experimental audiovisual masterpiece.

Not really into war films but was really impressed with this movie, the sound and picture was amazing nolan has become my favourite director and Spielberg takes some beating 😊

Good movie excellent 4k image quality but the atmos audio experience is fantastic

The 4K presentation of Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk is excellent, the audio is mixed superbly and the crystal clear picture means this is the closest you will get to the cinematic experience in the comfort of your living room. So good I am tempted to double dip on the steelbook edition.

An amazing film that looks stunning in 4K. if you have a 4K tv and blu ray this films is a must have on looks alone, although it’s also a great film anyway.
