What can you say about this film thats no already been said?? This is and will always be one of thee best if not thee best war films out there showing the brutality of war. Great transfer and the sound is amazing.
Great film only bested by " The thin red line " , but that a personal opinion. People that whine about film grain Obviously know nothing of film production and what Steven Spielberg was going for. He wanted that dated WW2 colour film effect, colour saturation and treatment was dialed right back to give it a dated washed out authentic look. After all it's based on D-Day and not the MCU. As for comments that the " lens flare was still there lol, Lens flare is not some mistake or a failure in filling BUT an ON purpose effect where light is shone into the camera then you get lens flare even 8k would still have it, JJ Abrams used to live that effect shine torches into cameras, it's a good effect to portray natural sunlight. Anyway enjoy the film for the classic it is , production, costume and especially sounds FX are first rate as are the actors.
Classic war movie one of the best!
Alwats been a great film, but thud transfer onto 4k seems a better picture than on my previous blu ray. Seems to be better version of the film too and the BR had some flaws. Obviously grainy, as that was Spielbergs intention, but still not as grainy/saturated as I remember in the cinema so still a bit cleaned up, with a sharp image. I'm glad I have this over BR version now.
Good delivery. Package was secured and received in excellent condition. The movie is awesome. It's great and the best war movie of all time. The action is brilliant and 4K just bring the quality out immensely.
my all time fav world war 2 movie, picture and sound quality awesome on my 4k panasonic system i recommend this 4k bluray for the real experience of this masterpiece.
COME ON! Its SAVING PRIVATE RYAN BUT EVEN BETTER!! BANGALOREEEEEE BOOOOOOM! The 4K, the new track! People listen to me, this is crazy.
Unfortunately this is not a good 4K transfer. The picture is barely better than the BD.The same lens flare that was on the BD is also on the 4K. The picture detail is only slightly better but I doubt if its even 2K.To make matters worse. The sound is WORSE than the previously released BD disc if you don't have Atmos! The sound on the BD is DTS and the sound on the 4k is only Dolby Digital! I am unable to comment on Atmos sound.
