This movie was harshly treated by certain critics - but that did not stop me from going to see this as I was curious as to how they would treat the source material and whether the actual 'Alita' character would come across (she IS CGI after all). In the event 'Alita Battle Angel' completely surpassed all of my expectations. I wont spoil the plot but I loved the way that Alita is utterly naïve confused and even child-like to begin with. Found on the scrap heap she is a Cyborg - partly human - mostly not. As she discovers her 'new' world (along with the audience who views it through her eyes) it slowly becomes apparent that she may NOT be the innocent little girl she believes herself to be. This could have been a problem with connecting with the audience BUT the character is beautifully brought to CGI-life by WETA and the performance of Rosa Salazar (underneath all of the motion-capture) is superb. Alita's world is also brilliantly realised. The action-sequences are superior to anything I have seen so far this year and the motorball fight is a classic. Underneath this 'origin story' however is a VERY dark and menacing back story - which a expected as the source is Japanese anime/manga. If you like Science Fiction - and you want to see something very different - see Alita Battle Angel. Audiences that did loved the movie and will be buying the Blu Ray package. **It is great to see that the Alita Blu Ray release includes the 4K and 3D/2D all in one super package** I for one will be hoping for a sequel!!

The professional critics largely just didn't get this movie. Audiences seem to like it far more. It's especially great in 3D in my view, but looks great in 4K and 1080p BD as well. I bought the steelbook version which is now sold out, but this has the same discs and it's good (and unfortunately rare in the UK now) to have all three editions (4K, 2D, 3D) in one pack.

i loved the movie, dont get why it was not biger or why criticsa didnt like it. The way alita moves is literally amazing for todays tech and thats something we dont get alot off. James cammeron with r rodrisues did it agian.

This is a perfect film to purchase in 4k. It is a visual treat. The storyline is good but it is just getting going and ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. I can only hope that the film is successful enough to warrant a Sequel getting green lit. The special effects and the visuals in this film are what makes it a worthwhile purchase and makes good use of 4k so is a ideal purchase in that format.

Fantastic film a must watch. Has so many connections to other sci-fi films.

Had this film on digital but highly recommend people buy the physical copy as the 4K on a disc is truly phenomenal and super exceeded my expectations.

If you like the Animé series of Alita Battle Angel, then you will definitely enjoy this live-action interpretation! Nice performances of both Rosa Salazar (Alita) and award winning actors Christoph Waltz (Dr. Dyson Ido) and Jennifer Connelly (Chiren). the CGI and special effects are out of this world!

This movie is well worth buying for those who have seen the anime adaption should love it especially,people only critised this cos she has big eyes so wot for the people who love action nice story it's a must buy

I love this movie. Joy, love and tragedy join together to tell a story, a story of self discovery and renewal. The battles were epic, full of action with great special effects and intense moments that impressed me the most of the time. Also the way she wants to be herself and fights for it is inspiring and fulfilling. The few plot twists left me with the mouth open, and I think that says a lot about a good story. The CGI was so great that even just looking at her face started to move me. In this movie you realize that even a robot can be more human that most of the people out there. I'm so glad for the details that it was put into this movie, for example the name "Alita" has a meaning, if you translate it into Spanish it means "little wing" which suits perfectly to the romantic origin of the character. Honestly, there's so much that I could say about this movie, but I'll just say that it's just great. I strongly recommend it.
