What can you say about this film, greatest horror film of all time, brought to us for the first time in glorious Ultra High Definition and the Extended Edition as well, this film looks glorious in 4K, as if it was filmed yesterday, Warner Brothers has done an astounding job restoring this film, great price from Zavvi, if you love this film, don't hesitate, buy NOW!

My expectations weren't that high for a film approaching 40 years old, but the colours and picture quality are amazing. Only disappointment being you don't get the theatrical cut alongside the extended US version in 4K. If pushed I'll always go for the shorter more cerebral UK version.

This is one of my old time favorites and it was excellent watching it in such good quality!

An amazing transfer. I remember watching The Shining on Blu-ray for the first time and how the quality of the light really struck me. This one breaks that ceiling. So lifelike.

Watched this many times over the years on different formats. But it now gets the 4k treatment. Remastered by another great director stephen speilberg. Did he do good? Yes he did. This is the best this has ever looked. Looked great at before but even better now. One of the things i noticed particularly is in the gold room. Just as jack gets advocat spilled on him. The background detail here (and other scenes) is jaw dropping for me anyway. Which is usually a dark room filled with people. Can see each individual person in such detail which has nevee been seen before. Well and truly pleased i picked this one up. Colors are actually surprisingly not qiite as red and strong but really the colours are more natural and real than they have ever looked too. One of the best films ever made.

had never seen this film until i bought this 4k and it's now one of my favourite films and it looks incredible in 4k will definitely watch this again

Absolutely amazing in 4k... The detail is spectacular and makes a 40 year old film look like it was made yesterday.
