Had missed out on the other 4K steelbook release & was very happy to order this one. The steelbook was everything had hoped for & a nice addition to all the marvel steelbooks in my collection.

Throughout the entire film I felt as if I were watching a comedy -- a sad comedy at that.The writer and director of this film forgot that this was a superhero movie and not an Abbott & Costello flick. Every exchange was an attempt at humor. A little, appropriate humor is okay, but they went overboard with this film. Near the end when they tried to be serious for a scene or two, it didn't matter; the film had already set its path. The talents of Jeff Goldblum & Cate Blanchett were wasted. Another thing to remember is that Odin and the Norse gods are immortal. Hence, Odin should have been as tall and strong as Thor -- if not more so. In other words, what is a short, old man, namely Anthony Hopkins, doing playing the role of Odin? Anthony Hopkins is an exceptional actor, but in this movie, badly cast. Another thing to note: Norse gods and Valkyries were white and not black or a mixture thereof. Politically correct casting always overlooks facts and truths. How many Scandinavian, blond, blue-eyed warriors did Shaka Zulu have in his army? That mini-series was done right back in the 1980's. But today, Hollywood has lost its mind -- it's lost all common sense as evidenced in this silly movie. If you're going to make a movie, do it right.

Oh dear......oh dear, oh dear, oh dear! What.....a......silly.......childish.......effort. This Waititi guy, whatever his name is and whoever he is, has really degraded the God of thunder. An immature and over zealous “trying-to-be” politically correct cringe-fest. Annoying and irritating characters and humour, overbearing female characters that very nearly, imo, relegate Thor to a supporting role, and a Hulk that converses.........basically for me, the whole film felt camp. NOT a Thor movie. Probably why this Steelbook is still around, to date. God only knows what the next Thor movie will end up like, being left again in the hands this Waititi guy - what a waste! AVOID!!
