Anyone who lapped up the early nineties Batman: The Animated Series would do well to make sure they watch this show. An ageing bruce Wayne playing Alfred to a young whipper snapper taking on the role of Batman. It’s a bit cheesy in its vision of the future, but it moves seamlessly from “monster of the week” to encompass series-long story arcs that genuinely provide a touching finale to characters who have never felt more fresh. It’s a neat little box set. Not as sexy as the limited edition with the Funko Pop, but jazzy enough not to care. For its part, Zavvi delivered this box set in speedy fashion, well protected. It was a decent price (with a little discount code for being a regular customer) and Zavvi’s comms were spot on.
