Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting it to light the while room but it definitely can't be called a lamp. It's just a novelty light up decoration. It's very light as well and the plastic is soft - it gives if you press it. I like it but it's not what I thought and it's barely worth the reduced price, never mind full price.
