This is a great release of a truly classic film. I had it on Blu-ray already but when I saw this I had to have it. The 4K is amazing and the extras inside this edition make it a worth while buy. The art cards and notes are very detailed

This version of the movie is a must-have. The box is beautiful and the extras pretty cool, but the real Mc Coy is the 4K version. This is the sharpest version of the movie I've ever seen! Forget any Blu Ray or other copies... this version is amazing, especially with HDR+10. The extended version is the version to watch. More to the story. As for the extras, they are more or less the same as previous version (the 4K disc has only the commentary, the other bonuses are on the BR): Commentary by Steadicam inventor Garrett Brown and Kubrick biographer John Baxter The Making of The Shining (35 mins) View from the Overlook: Crafting The Shining (26 mins) Wendy Carlos, Composer (7 mins) The Visions of Stanley Kubrick (15 mins)

Excellently presented set, the collectors extras are a great addition but this set is all about the 4K transfer. Clearly they’ve put in the work with restoring this movie, the picture is honestly a showcase for the format. For a 40 year old movie the clarity and vibrancy of the picture is excellent. If you’re a fan of the shinning then this is honestly a must have but if even if you aren’t it’s worth getting as it’s a textbook example of what 4K UHD is all about. A worthy addition to anyone’s collection.

Great boxset with some great photos/extras. perfect for any horror movie collection. fired it up on my 4k tv and it looks amazing!

This is the ultimate edition of this classic film. Great special features and collectors items and the 4k restoration of the film makes it look like it was released yesterday.

This came bang on the day it was supposed it’s perfect! The Blu-Ray itself is amazing with some really cool bonus stuff with it, perfect for fans of Kubrick. It came packaged perfectly which meant there wasn’t even a scrape on the plastic wrap on the Blu-Ray!

The Shining, still IMO one of the greatest horror films of all time, is 40 years old! Watch a 4K print of it though, you'd have no idea! Kubrick's stylistic shooting of an ominous hotel setting, Danny cycling his way through seemingly endless corridors, blood running from the elevators, and an icy maze of madness all look so crisp and so clear you'd be forgiven for thinking it was shot yesterday... As a Special Edition release, this set is fantastic! Well printed slip box, brimming with extras including the Extended and theatrical cuts, plus some well packaged goodies including the original press pack and poster If you love the movie its never looked better, and this set on the whole is a must for collectors and film fans all over!
