When this artwork dropped I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if thousands of steelbook collectors and Star Wars fans gasped in horror. 'Course I still purchased, as I want the complete set and I'm resigned to rebuying Star Wars forever but for continuity reasons (and simply being a better artwork) I obviously would have preferred the classic ESB poster.

Obviously a classic, this is gloriously packaged, looks sublime on screen and a great set of special features

So this is a beautiful release! Why no Roman numeral anymore? :(

All I've read on here is 1 star commentary on the steelbook art .... yes, it is minimal compared to the other designs - I am a big collector myself - but once you are over that, just review the actual content? And that content is stunning. One of the best of the Star Wars saga, 'Empire' started the trend of sequels to go darker & more emotional. Packed with some of the most memorable quotes, scenes & characters, 'Empire' benefits from the 4k restoration - the print's colours & detail are beautiful, while the sound upgrade makes the effects & music score ascend better than ever. It may not be the original cinema release that we all wish for on disc, but out of the Lucas-ized 'special' editions which received unnecessary CGI additions & altered sequences, 'Empire' survived with it's status intact, proving that dear old George couldn't even ruin the entry in which he didn't direct himself. PS It's a fact - Yoda had a kickin' mustache attempt going on. That's how sharp the quality is for this baby - get over the artwork & enjoy a classic that's never looked better!

A lot of people have complained about this design in relation to the original trilogy's steelbook designs, but it's still cool and stops them looking too mundane together, despite the fact I agree it is more boring than Hope and Jedi's designs. We all know it's the best film in the franchise so that makes up for it... a bit.

Steelbook 4K original trilogy Star Wars movie sounded great but far exceeded my already high expectations. Great job Zavvi.

Possibly not the best image out of the official posters from 1980, but zavvi don't own the image , Disney do .. your all gonna buy it in the end regardless

Glad I've ordered this for my star wars steelbook collection . As for the cover. No big deal and if I wanted to change it to , the other empire poster , I'll get it a steelbook magnet cover . I've done that with my 3 Disney star wars steelbooks .
