I had heard that this was a benchmark 4K restoration and this disc definitely lives up to that appraisal. Having Kirk Douglas (one of his last appearances) introduce it and reminisce about the production is the icing on the cake. It’s also good to see many vintage interviews with the cast from the original publicity interviews. The only thing missing is a full length documentary charting the film’s creation and difficulties.

Great 4k transfer - great to see this classic film getting the love it needs to stay fresh. If you love film, you need to see this.

This is one heck of a 4k remaster with stunning picture and a amazing DTS-X surround sound. Kubrick's beloved epic is a must own!!!
