This is a nice set with all you need to set it up and run it in a small oval. The engine works fine, though there is a hum from the motor as it starts, likely due to not quite enough electricity at the lowest settings of the power control. The hum goes away once the motor gets enough juice to start turning and the train moves. Cars are detailed pretty nicely, though you only get 2 of them. I'd recommend picking up some additional track and one or two more cars from Hornby to extend the train to 3 or 4 coaches over all.
