This set is absolutely loaded. Indicator is really cementing themselves as the finest boutique Blu-ray label out there.
Chritopher Lee? No brainer! Beatiful box set? No brainer! Absolutely SUPERB box set from Indicator - DIGI PAK housing for each disc, each one artfully and beautifully illustrated - Sturdy and rigid outer slip box, with superb Manchu artwork - includes a substantial book - Heavy in hand…..you can really “feel” your monies worth in the set. Quite frankly, this is now one of the best looking boxsets i own. The films might not be to everyones taste, but if you collect beautiful boxsets then this set is essential. TOP MARKS TO INDICATOR!
These may not be Sir Christopher Lee’s finest films or his most famous role, but there is something very entertaining about them. Not dissimilar to the Hammer Horror films of the time, the Fu Manchu films are slightly more outrageous, making it slightly sad that Lee was not able to portray both Dr. No in the 1962 Bond film of the same name and also Francisco Scaramanga in The Man with the Golden Gun (1974). In many ways, the Fu Manchu films are a time capsule within the 1960s time period. They’re dated, but they’re great fun!
