How lovely to relive the glorious days of Downton Abbey's history with its carefully detailed characters and multifarious events. Seeing it on TV was like a walk through almost-recent history, but watching again is more a walk along Memory Lane through recent history remembering again the ups and downs for the family and members of the household. And then the film, with all that new material, re-introducing those who have moved on and giving another sparkling view into their lives and lifestyles. A great complement to the original TV drama. This is a box-set which I shall, I am sure, watched repeatedly, just to recapture so many wonderful moments and exist again alongside the characters that bring it all to life.
