After writing a review when I initially received this item, here is an update. As expected, the cardboard case that the steelbooks come in has began to fall apart. Also, some of the dividers inside the package have come unstuck meaning that my steelbooks are in direct contact with each other with some minor scratching already occurring. For such an expensive item the overall quality is so bad. Really not happy with this package, just as well the films are classics (first three at least) and decent transfers.
The films are great, the steelbook artwork they're housed in is awful. If you need Indiana Jones in 4k, then just buy the standard box set, not this assault to the senses!
The films have never looked or sounded better, but as has been widely reported already, the packaging is seriously lacking creativity and quality. Many of the Universal / Paramount home entertainment team were let go during the past year so this could be a reason. No doubt there will be a repackage next year to coincide with the new Indy film.
Why are the graphics on the back of the steelbooks (Ark,Grail,Skull etc) not central? They are ALL off to the left and it look bad. There are other examples in the 'artwork' too and the composition appears to have been done by a beginner!
Yes the card sleeve is cheaply done but the artwork inside is excellent and let's be fair 3 out of the 4 movies included are worth watching over and over , I was pleased with my purchase , would I have gave 4 stars at full price I'm not too sure.
Obviously the 1st 3 films are the best , and have had the biggest upgrade from the original blu rays. Personally I love films shot on 35mm and its dolby vision and atmos treatment is a fantastic effort. Very happy to have scooped these films up on offer
Finally got the Indiana Jones steelbook collection in 4k (My second favourite franchise after the Star Wars movies) All four movies look and sound even better than ever. Its hard to believe Raiders is 40 years old now. I love the way the steelbooks are designed using the picture of each artifact Indy is searching for in that particular movie. Another winner from Zavvi.
Wouldn't wanted pay premium for steelbooks when it was released, but when price dropped "and its lower than standard one"wich is surprising. As i can't fault this set, folks complaining about "filmsy" packaging and design wich is ridiculous.Packaging is decent as well design.Folks, grab it while you can.Highly recommended!
I was this on offer last weeks and had to get this steelbook boxset. Whilst the packaging is cheap and flimsy the steelbooks are great looking. They have gone straight into protective sleeves. These are movies (well 3 out of 4) which one can never get bored of watching and being transferred to 4K makes it all the more better. “Snakes. Why Did It Have To Be Snakes?”
Raiders is still an excellent film and looks awesome in 4K . I also really like the last crusade again the 4K is excellent. Would have been nice if the box the Steelbooks came in was nicer just a little weak and flimsy.
