Amazing Lego build. This was my first foray into Lego since I was a kid and despite a few errors which I later corrected the build was very satisfying. Be careful of the middle leg construction as this is where I went wrong and which almost required a complete rebuild as it’s one of the early stages and took me three hours to work out where I went wrong. Annoyingly there was also a piece missing however Lego are very good and have sent me the piece. That being said it was an internal piece and not terribly important so rather than take the whole model apart I’m leaving it out. Given the amount of pieces in this model I consider that to be a lucky escape although I have since purchased the Ghostbusters Ecto 1 which had two integral pieces missing which has been very annoying as it means I cannot finish the model until the parts arrive. It seems poor for a company that essentially makes 3D jigsaw puzzles to miss out components on the two models that I’ve bought. Does this happen regularly with Lego? It is also strange considering how many excess pieces I’m left with which I would happily trade for having the right pieces in the first place. All in all though very happy as it’s a nice ornament and I now have the Light My Bricks light and sound package to add to it. Just readying myself for that next project.

This is a wonderful Lego kit. Takes me back to my childhood - the excitement and joy of building something like this. It's a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it for the time enjoyed building it and then showing it odd on the shelf.

Never used Zavvi before, but we’re offering an excellent price on the Lego R2D2. Always a bit unsure when using a new supplier, as to what service you will get. The item was swiftly sent from Zavvi and quickly received and extremely well packed. As a Star Wars fan, the model itself is excellent and was a pleasure to build. I would strongly recommend both the Lego R2D2 and Zavvi

Throughly enjoyable build, great combination of technical elements and interesting feature make this a good addition to the collection. Looks fantastic once completed, highly recommend.

This arrived in very quick time very well packaged with no damage at all. As far as I'm aware as this was a gift the build was great as my daughter loved it

Now this was by far the biggest Lego build I had done and what an awesome challenge it was. Easy to build and just fits perfectly together, it is as if you are looking at the real deal instead of it being made out of Lego. Would definitely recommend as a great, fun build.

Great lego product, only downside was purchasing this with my exclusive voucher on black Friday week and then it being reduced further on Black Friday, felt a bit cheated.
