Great steelbook and the film looks superb, shame about the sound and although no means bad it might have been even better in atmos or dtsx as these sound formats seem to pull you into the film more.Sharon Stone is electric in this role and proves how good an actor she is ,recommended.

Nice, clean looking, if not particularly exciting steelbook with sharp graphics and some debossing along the splinter lines of the front picture. Annoyingly, the ‘Basic Instinct’ logo on the spine is printed upside down (i.e. to be read from the right) which is not normally the case with Studio Canal releases, meaning you have to put the steelbook on the shelf upside down for the writing on the spine to be correctly orientated.

I love this film, I saw it at the cinema, I had the huge cardboard promotional advert in my flat from when the video came out. I remember being excited that it got released in a letterbox edition too (very rare at the time). I've since owned it on laser disc and dvd. Now after a lapse from watching it I thought I'd see this Studio Canal remastered version. Wow. I'm so glad I got this beautiful steelbook. The menu on the disc also has this cool new art too. There are 2 commentaries and a really good hour long 2020 retrospective about the making of the film as well as the old promotional ones. It looks superb. If you like this film and don't own it on 4k....

This is a superbly crafted neo-noir with great performances. This new stunning bc 4k transfer comes in a gorgeous steelbook and has great special features. Highly recommended.
