There’s nothing to be said about the first 2 films in the trilogy. Genuine cinematic classics which you should own and watch at their best, if that is in this 4K remaster.  Unsure if they are just upscaled from the previous DVD remasters or whether they are genuine remasters from original negatives etc!??  Well worth getting when on offer.  The Part 3 Coda version is definitely a better cut than the original and more watchable. 

I didn’t like the Blu-ray Coppola restoration in 2008 so I was looking forward to watching these movies with a new restoration in 4K. The first movie is stunning with a fantastic 4K transfer, the second not so much however still much better than the Blu-ray version. I haven’t watched the third movie yet. My only complaint about the boxset would be considering the cost I expected the packaging to be a little more lavish than embossed cardboard. My boxset arrived well packaged, thanks to Zavvi.
