Zavvi, tell the bods at Universal that the reason this isn't selling out is because it doesn't match the others. Once it does, you know it will.
If this is the final artwork will be cancelling my preorder
I have waited eagerly to complete this set, but if I buy this, it won't be a set as it doesn't match any of the previous steels. The only way to have a 'set' is to double dip on the previous movies and shell out for the pricey box set. A distasteful marketing move.
I have been checking for weeks to make sure I get my preorder in for this, and now I have seen it. The other 5 steelbooks have the Jurassic park logo and all match and this doesn’t fit in at all. A cover identical to all the other formats would have been good, a single movie matching the steelbook in the box set would have been good also. This is complete garbage and I’m not going to bother getting it.
The movie itself is ok, but my issue is with the actual artwork on the cover. Why would you produce and release all of the previous movies steelbooks with just the Jurassic park/world logo on the front, and then the last one you decide to be like “nah not really feeling that design for this last one, let’s make it so it literally looks completely different to the other 5 steelbooks we’ve released for this franchise”
A must for Jurassic park fans !!! What else is there to say. Its brilliant and in a great tin.
Lovely Steelbook and I know it's not everyone's favourite to the trilogy, but I enjoyed it, especially the Extended Cut, which is a must, great price from Zavvi, definite pick up
As someone who was there when the original Jurassic Park Debuted in Theaters 29 years ago it was great to see the original trio reunite and interact with the double-act of the Jurassic World Generation. The use of animatronics more over CG models was a welcomed change as the audiences' eye has become somewhat well trained to distinguish what is actually there physically and tangibly and what is a visual effect that's added in post-production. True. Visual FX have gotten more sophisticated and advanced from when Mr. Spielberg made the first Jurassic Park, but you know the actors' performances are more authentic when they're interacting with what's there and not using their imagination just to get their eye-line right. As a movie on it's own merits, I'd say it''s entertaining. But it does not hold a candle to the original Jurassic Park where story and the moral implications of Dinosaurs being back on Earth were at the forefront of the movie whereas the Jurassic Franchise has deviated into just being another stereotypical Hollywood Blockbuster where it's more about spectacle and less substance. If it had been any more cliche, Michael Bay would have directed this.... Is it the worst Jurassic Park movie? No. That dishonor still belongs to 2001's Jurassic Park 3. If this movie had focused more on dinosaurs being in on the mainlands of the Earth and less about the Locusts, then this movie would have been a lot better. The only times I saw this being more about Jurassic Park is when you see the interactions of Rexy with other dinosaurs and to her settling a prehistoric score. It's not the worst, but it could have been worse. A lot worse...
First of all, I like the steelbook. Its nothing fancy but still looks good. The film however is by far the worst of the entire franchise. I wouldn't say I disliked it as I am a fan of the franchise, but I wouldn't say that it was particularly good either. It was great to see the original cast in the movies again, but even that just wasn't enough to save it.
Great movie and steelbook edition is amazing. Son will love this for Xmas. 16 and still loves his Dinos 😂
