Definitely worth it, spent 2 hours playing and finishing so good I wanted to do it again, game rocks.

The orange box is a collection of 5 games made by valve. Being a valve fan but never owning this I finally got around to buying the orange box and I was not disappointed. Every game in the collection is unique but all of them have that edgy feel that valve are just so damn good at. Half life 3, episode 1 and 2 are fantastic mixing tense atmosphere with fast paced action especially is fantastic. The real winner is portal, a puzzle game with a twist. The plot is unexpected and really original.

This game is excellent! 5 games in one, and all of them good ones, it really seems too good to be true. But this game is amazing and is by far the best deal in gaming. Everyone who has ever played an FPS knows that half life 2 is up there with the most popular shooters of the past two years even though Half Life 2 itself is five years old. Portal is one of the most clever games I have ever played and GlaDos is one of the funniest characters in gaming to date. Team Fortress 2 may be a bit of a ghost town on consoles but I still manage to find plenty of games on the 360 when I want to play some silly fun in an FPS. All in all, this is a great game, and anyone who is looking for a great deal should buy this.

Nearly 5 years on, Half-Life 2 (The Orange Box) is still a phenomenal compilation of games. I've only just started playing Half-Life 2 and already I am hooked. This collection is a must-have for anyone who enjoys thrill after thrill in their video games.

Valve are amongst the most famous of developers for a reason. They consistently produce AAA titles the most famous of which is probably the Half- Life series. Half-Life 2 continues the story of Freeman, the quintessential silent hero who saves the day amidst the takeover by an alien oppressive race known as the combine. In classic Valve still you will wield some of the most well conceived and powerfully crafted weaponry in an FPS to date...and lets not even mention the gravity gun. Half-Life 2's physics are some of the best in the business and makes the gameplay intense, fun and very visceral. This physics engine continues over to episodes 1 and 2 which are continuations of the main story of Half-life 2. Portal on the other hand is an entirely different beast. Blazing guns warfare this time around is swapped out for a more cerebral experience requiring more brains than brawn. Portal completely turns the FPS on its head (literally) through the use of the same unique physics engine with which to solve environmental puzzles. This mind bending experience is one of a kind and sure to please.

In the orange box you have 5 games. One is Half Life 2 which is arguebly one of the best FPS games off all time which has an in depth story and is great fun. On top of that you have the two add-ons for Half Life 2 which are Half Life 2 Episode 1 and Half Life 2 Episode 2. You also have the addictive puzzle game Portal which has endless hours of fun packed into it. Lastely we have Team Fortress 2 which is an excellent online FPS with a unique art style and different classes of weapons to choose from. It will provide you with an extra bit of excitent on top of the other games within the Orange Box.
