Don't drive down to the woods today

Chris Finn is already late for an interview when he joins the back of a queue of traffic caused by a road accident. It doesn't take him long to decide to chance a 'short cut' by turning round and driving down a lane he passed a little while back. First mistake. Then matters go from bad to worse when he crashes into a car carrying a group of teenagers. Yes, it's one of 'those' days. They are all remarkably civilised about this and, with their vehicles out of action, decide to continue their journey on foot. Unfortunately the area is home to a group of 'monstrous mountain men' who tend to eat people like them for breakfast. Literally. So begins another 'stalk and slash' story, which have become ten a penny in recent years. This one is a cut above many, however, and spawned several sequels. The inbred/mutated 'monstrous mountain men' benefit from the skills of the famous Stan Winston Studio and all involved put in a decent effort. The DVD comes with optional audio commentary and a bunch of extras including a 'Making Of' featurette.
