Amazing acting, great story line not worth a five due to Tommy Lee Jones's character. I didn't understand what his character brought to the film apart from slowing the storyline and bringing an existential angst to what was a cracking thriller. Bloody crimes. thrilling chases in the desert make this the most exciting of all the Coen films

Excellent film. Very atmospheric. You really get a feel for the location in the desert scenes. The film was very tense too - it kept me on the edge of my seat to the very end. Brilliant acting by all the cast, makes it a must-see film.

Having never read the book I dont personally know how close the film follows . However I did read several reviews before I watched it and every one reported that the movie is an excellent adaptation following almost scene by scene. The Coen Brothers produced yet another fantastic movie, the cinematography is stunning. A real edge of the seat thriller which i'd describe as witty, tense chilling as well as being violent in parts. I thought it was beautifully acted out and unlike the previous contributer I thought Tommy Lee Jones's part of a nearly retired sheriff was excellent. This is the first film Ive ever seen where the lack of a sound track is as dramatic as having one ! A really good movie and well worth watching.
