One of the greatest box-sets i have even seen great story with much joy, sadness and understanding in this spectacular drama . This explains the hardships of the life of Kunta Kinte and his descendants who went through slavery, post-civil war era, 1900s and modern civil rights era.

A brilliant film very thought provoking although very sad .

Watched this years ago. I thought the quality might not be too good but I was wrong; it is great! I have watched 3 episodes so far and can't wait to watch more.

First class DVD boxset from ZAVVI.com. I remember this TV series going back over 30Years ago. The story lines and film production, simply fantastic. I would certainty recommend this series You will not be disappointed.

It was great to be able to watch the entire series in DVD some 30 years after the original screening. The quality of the images was excellent, surpassed only by the story itself. Great viewing and the cost incredible cheap. Certainly excellent value for money..

how wonderful to watch this excellent series that I watched all those years ago on TV with the family, eagerly waiting for the next episode. would recommend this to everyone. A novelty also to have double sided dvd play. A sad and moving story of courage that you will be glad you watched
