One of the most intelligent films ever produced. Not since the films of Orson Wells have I come across such careful consideration of narration. None of the main characters are overly played so as the story progresses the strengths, weakness and ambitions of each become apparent. I originally bought it on VHS but changing technology has forced me to reconsider my film library. Only a few or my tapes are being replaced by DVD, this one was near the top of the list. It is well worth having and holding.
