There is so much to like about The Fountain. The visuals are just gorgeous and the score is so beautiful. The obsession of Hugh Jackman's character is well played and the scenes where the tree is ascending according to the legend just leave me speechless. Some people get a little confused trying to connecting the parts (or layers) of the story. This is probably because the Hollywood blurb seems to imply the main character actually lives for 500 years which is a load of rubbish, or at best misleading. It's actually quite simple to put together, but rather that worry too much, I'd advise just taking it all in and enjoying the journey. This film leaves me in awe!
