Stirke (Mekhi Phifer) is a "clocker", a hard-working, 24 hour drug dealer. When the local drug kingpin (Delroy Lindo) tips Strike about a chance for promotion, a rival dealer ends up dead. Detective Mazilli (John Turturro) wants an easy bust. His partner Rocco (Harvey Keitel) wants something much harder to find - the truth.
