Overall I was disappointed with this steelbook. Like the other steelbooks in the pop art range the front image was not very good and doesn't suit the film. Yet again it's another matte finish which gives it a cheap feel. I was also very annoyed that this did not come with a uv digital copy that every other film in this range had included as standard.

One of the classic movies you have to own in a beautiful steelbook . If you like old classic movies this should be on your buy list.

The Steelbook arrived very quickly and in excellent condition. The original mini-series is classed as the best submarine film of all-time and easy to see why, it lasted nearly 5 hours and was shot in German. The International version (which this is) lasted nearly 4 hours and was dubbed in English. The differences are meniscal and would not be completely missed. If you are fan of war movies, this is a must. Its a gritty, tense, action film, all the makings of a classic war film. For the price of a classic war film, which is nearly 4 hours long, you cannot go wrong.

This is generally considered to be one of the greatest films of all time, and it's easy to see why. This is a fantastic release and the transfer is of high quality. You can buy it cheaper, of course, but this steelbook packaging finally does the film justice. Well worth the price.

This movie is an all-time classic of course. And this Pop Art interpretation cover fits good enough i think. Not a 100% perfect fit, but good enough.

Another fantastic steelbook from Zavvi. Excellent outer artwork for a truly excellent film. Like Dr Strangelove there is no inner artwork which again is disappointing. But to have a classic like this on steelbook is well worth it.
