Mother is an extremely dramatic tale of a woman's desperate attempt to protect her son. This movie tells the story of a quiet, hard-working mother from a rural village in South Korea who balances working to support the stability of her son and caring for his needs as a mentally handicapped young man. Her world is turned upside down when her son is framed for the brutal murder of a school girl and is subsequently arrested. She now begins an irate quest to find the real murderer and finds herself deep inside a dark and violent world of which she never dared to imagine.
