Excellently produced and very pleased with the product (DVD). As the series of 'Lewis' has gone on it has developed a quality of its own making it, in some ways, better than ' Inspector Morse'. 'Morse' at times was a tad too far fetched for my taste. I know that to keen 'Morse' followers that sounds almost like heresy but I have always been suspicious of extremely clever sods - sorry- people!
They have done it again and produced another excellent series of four episodes. Lewis and Hathaway work their magic together with excellent stories. The music also helps to set the scene and is a major reason the series is so good. Only one thing that could improve the series is Lewis and Laura finally get together. The producers are to be congratulated for in my opinion, producing something better than Morse which really took some doing. I also enjoy spotting Colin Dexter in his appearance in each episode. Buy it you will love it.
I've always enjoyed Lewis. The acting is superb and the storylines are excellent. It was interesting in this series to see Hathaway lose his almost trademark cool. Kevin Whately was always a favourite of mine. Now he has his own seies he has grown well into the art and I hope it goes on for a while to come. I would recommend this series for anyone who likes crime deduction rather than blood and gore.
Another brilliant series - can't wait for the next one.
