The Beatles are without a doubt one of the most influential bands of all time. Made up of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, the English rock band can be credited with the rise of rock and roll through the 1960s.

Beatlemania is a real thing, and it’s no surprise that its members have gone down in music history. Throughout their career, the Beatles revolutionised the music industry and were pioneers in recording. They are known all over the world and are now known as the best-selling music act of all time.

The group began playing small clubs and gigs in their hometown of Liverpool but rocketed to stardom when they recorded their first hit “Love Me Do” in 1962. Other hit songs from their early days include “A Hard Day's Night” and “Help!”.

Their musical style was like no other artists’ at the time, with elements of classical music, traditional pop, Indian music, and hard rock filtering in throughout their career.

They recorded 13 albums including the albums Rubber Soul (1965), Revolver (1966),Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967),The Beatles (1968) andAbbey Road (1969). The band actually hold the record for most number-one albums on the UK Albums Chart to this day.

The band had some incredible performances in their day including the iconic Apple Rooftop performance in London in 1969. Some of their other memorable performances such as the Washington Coliseum in 1964, Empire Theatre in Liverpool in 1963, and the Palais de Sports in Paris 1965.

The international stars have also achieved solo successes, with all four members creating music of their own after the break-up of the band in 1970. They have all been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and take their place amongst the all-time most influential musicians and bands in history.
