Arizona, 1873. The small desert town of Absolution is a close-knit yet uptight community where strangers aren't welcome. The streets are harshly run by iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Harrison Ford). But when a stranger (Daniel Craig) with no recollection of who he is or where he has come from stumbles into town, Dolarhyde's power is put to a test. The only clue to this drifter's past is a mysterious shackle attached to his wrist.
Soon after wandering into town the Stranger is captured and held under strict surveillance by Colonel Dolarhyde. But when a space craft lands in Absolution, the town soon comes to the realisation that this lone ranger may be their only hope in the fight to survive this alien invasion.

Cowboys and Aliens - Triple Play has a great picture quality, and was a superb price. You must buy, it's a great film.
I wasn't quite sure about Cowboys and Aliens. But I was pleasantly surprised, still not sure if Daniel Craig suited the film - he seems at his best in James Bond. other than that-easy to follow the plot, plenty of action-an all round great watch!
cowboys and aliens, i seriously have no idea how they come up with this stuff. A decent film with lots of big names in it. Its quite a cult film, so particularly for those into sci-fi and westerns. If you're into both, then this is perfect! More of a boys films than a girls one though, although you probably didn't need me to explain that!
A funny sci fi film, with Daniel Craig in it, of James Bond fame/infamy. Pretty bizarre premise for a film, but strangely enough it actually works. I enjoyed it, but of course ,don't take it too seriously.
An action/sci fi bonanza. May seem like a strange mix (cowboys and aliens) but its pretty funny. Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford are great.
Whilst the title (Cowboys and Aliens) seems a contradiction in terms of time span - a sort of Star Wars meets Billy the Kid - this film has a good cast and proves to be quite entertaining. There are some weak parts to the plot, and some of the characters are comical, but it works. Steven Spielberg is involved in the production so you can be sure it has touches of his pedigree. Overall, good family entertainment. Recommended as four star as it is not up there with the classics.
Cowboys and Aliens is an excellent film. It's a great mixture of the western and sci-fi genres.
I've read so much about this movie, and having read the graphic novel, I had to give it a go. The problem is, it's a reasonable enough cowboy and indians movie, with what feels like an alien story tagged on. It's beautifully shot with a little too much action in the dark!
I was very sceptical about watching this movie after seeing a trailer in the cinema, so when I saw it on blu-ray at a good price, I thought I'd give it a chance, and may I say, I think it was pretty good, and wasted a chance to see it on the big screen. The effects are really good, and having a decent sound system was great. All in all, a really good movie, well worth checking out.
You have to take this Cowboys and Aliens for what it is, and that is a good action movie. Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford are well suited for their roles and if you don't take it too serious you will enjoy it as much as I did.
