Monty Python delivers a scathing, anarchic satire of both religion and Hollywood's depiction of all things biblical with their second film. The setting is Judea 33 A.D, a time of poverty and chaos, with no shortage of messiahs, followers willing to believe in them, and exasperated Romans trying to impose some order. At the centre of it all is Brian Cohen (Graham Chapman), a reluctant would-be messiah who rises to prominence as a result of a series of absurd and truly hilarious circumstances providing ample opportunity for the entire ensemble (John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones, Michael Palin, and Chapman) to shine in multiple roles as they mock everyone and everything from ex-lepers, Pontius Pilate, and the art of haggling to crazy prophets, Roman centurions, and crucifixion.

The design is very python! Amazing artwork on both sides and inside. Film is of course a classic
Amazing steelbook from Zavvi and super fast delivry from U.K to New Zealand,5 days from ordering and it was in my hands. One would almost think that this transfer was a 4K version,the picture is beautiful with a massive 5.1 Dolby True H.D Soundtrack,this makes Pythons theme for "Life Of Brian" sound even more incredible considering the age and year the picture was made. The Bluray contains a huge amount of extra's that will keep even the most avid Python fan happy, This is the Python's at their best and in my opinion always will be. Thank you so much Zavvi for once again providing super fast service,they are second to none to price and choice not to mention their incredible selection of Steelbooks.
