Stalker is my favourite film by the late Tarkovsky. Hypnotic, meditating and existential, it is both beautiful and haunting at the same time. I was therefore pleased to see this at a discount, justifying a replacement of my old DVD edition. The Blu-Ray restoration is stunning and brings new life to the some of the most iconic cinematography in film history. Being a Criterion, the film is also loaded with extras and wrapped in beautiful minimalistic cover art. A must-have for all auteur cinephiles out there.
The Criterion Collection is the best way to view any film, and Stalker is one of the greatest films ever made - there’s no reason not to buy immediately.

A wonderful film. Haunting! Great cover art and booklet. The film looks great and so affected me I had to read the book it was based on, then a book analysing the film. I wish I'd seen this film earlier. Possibly the most thought provoking film I've ever seen. Slow but hypnotising!
