I absolutely love waterworld an love the art work and can not wait to own this, can't understand why people moaning about art work the films based all on the ocean what youse want a big red car on cover idiots
I love the look of this. Super atmospheric with the Atoll at the top and the world underneath. Love also that there is no title on front and come on if you don't know the movie from the picture than you shouldn't call yourself a movie buff! I don't buy many Steelbooks anymore but this I'll go for! 👍from me. 🙂
This perfectly encapsulates the films world in one image, and it looks beaut on a steelbook. People are entitled to their opinion but in mine, i completely love it.
Dear Sony, The movie starts with these lines: "The future... The polar ice caps have melted, covering the earth with water. Those who survived have adapted, to a new world." So there must be a serious black hole behind ones' forehead if the underwater cities in this art is taken as a spoiler. Thanks Zavvi for this beauty! It looks really nice!
The steelbook itself is great, the artwork is crisp and I love the choice of image (even if I did at first think the swimmers towards the bottom were scratches, lol). I've been a big fan of waterworld for years. When it came out it got really bad press and was quickly labelled a "flop" but I failed to see it how the supposed critics wanted us to. I LOVED it (and coincidentally so does everyone else I speak to) and when the 4k steelbook was announced by Zavvi, I snapped it up instantly, but is it worth updating if you already have a blu-ray version? For the steelbook alone, yes, but for the 4k upgrade? I don't think it is... Watching this on an 85in 4K screen with HDR in all it's glory, I can see massive amounts of film grain. If you have a smaller screen or low brightness, this will be mostly invisible and admittedly i was able to ignore it for the most part but some scenes were so bad that it's all I could see. To be fair, I've realised this with a lot of remastered 4k releases so this is not just a waterworld issue... ALSO... don't bother watching the extended version (available in the options menu) as the deleted scenes are seamlessly inserted but they have not been remastered at all (not even to normal HD standards) and look absolutely terrible.
Waterworld at last buzzing nice artwork clearly shows Kevin Costner's boat heading to safe town from back cover to front looks cool could be bit closer but nice. ,well people complaining bout rubbish art work wow its all on the ocean what youse want loads of trees n buildings Christ ,an reply to spookywv arrow release artwork lot better dunt make me laff 4 giant heads on cover unless there's a different arrow release that I haven't seen then I apologise
Well what can i say, i do love the simple yet cool disign of this steelbook, of course if you getting it then you must of seen the movie, which is said to be one of the biggest flops of all time, the movie it self has lastest this long and is one of them films that you should like but do. I still to watch the 4k. I happy to have this has part of my collection.
I have loved this film since I first ever watched it and have done ever since.. I have it on VHS, DVD, BLU-RAY and now a 4k Steelbook and I must say ZAVVI you have outdone yourselves with this beauty, the steelbook looks amazing and the chosen art fits is perfectly both outside and the inside print, the 4k version of this film is unbelievable and I urge EVERYONE to buy this masterpiece especially this 4k steelbook version!! Thank you ZAVVI
Great looking steelbook. The films has had a bit of flack over the years, but I’ve always enjoyed it. Give it a go if you haven’t already
Fantastic 4k Blu-ray, picture and sound made this worth every penny and I love the artwork on the tin first class 🙂
