This season sees the return of the notorious master con man Mickey Bricks (Adrian Lester), accompanied by his long-standing accomplices, veteran roper Albert Stroller (Robert Vaughn) and quick fix extraordinaire  Ash ‘Three Socks’ Morgan (Robert Glenister). Also returning are brother and sister duo, Sean and Emma Kennedy (Matt Di Angelo, EastEnders and Kelly Adams, Holby City) who after being tutored in the art of the con, are now fully fledged members of this outstanding group of grifters. This series followed the Hustle teams efforts to liberate more greedy fat cats from their ill gotten gains. While Sean and Emma continue to learn about the substantial risks and rewards the life of a grifter provides.

In many ways the cleverness of the show is that it effectively works a con on the audience, convincing them that one thing is happening, when it's actually something entirely different. The writer knows exactly what strings to pull and when. We all know we're being taken for a ride, but go along all the same just to find out what's really happening.

The Con Is On

Yet another excellent season. This is a British series that can hold its own against the best of the American shows. The only aspect that could have been improved was by following the Americans and making a season of 24 to 26 episodes.

Oustanding as usual!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I am a HUGE Hustle fan and have all the other series. I don't live in the UK so didn't get to see Series 6 on TV, have had a sneaky preview on YouTube and it is great, different to the other series (not so much of the suspense) but superb all the same... looking forward to owning this on DVD too!

Hustle - Season 6 Hustle - Season 6

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Excellent drama that doesn't take itself too seriously. A modern day equivalent in many ways to Robin Hood. The team set out to right wrongs and make a little money on the side, they use all the tricks of outlaws but usually with the best intentions at heart. Season 6 is a great addition to the set.

Sharp as always, and more nail biting than ever!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Fans of Hustle will already know that this really is the best of Bristih. Sharp plot writing with twists and turns at every step and season 6 delivers more of the same, with the hit on a scandalous MP an especially nice touch! The tension had me on the edge of my seat with the return of Mickey Bricks and his accomplices. The cons become increasingly elaborate, especially when Emma poses as Ozzie pop star Kylie! It reaches a crescendo as Mickey appears to be the subject of a con himself, but you'll have to watch it to find out what truth lies beneath the surface!

Hustle - no con here!

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Well, it's always nerve racking waiting a repeat of one of your favourite series and this time was no expection... would it still be slick, would the relationships between the characters still stand up... and... it was and they did! The series burst into action with the same fast paced feeling and Mickey running the gang. The younger characters of Sean and Emma are getting stronger and taking bigger parts which develops the plots further. But the classic comedy falls to Ash as usual, and Albery plays his usual stalwart self keeping the gang on the reasonably straight and narrow! All the episodes were memorable and the plot is still shown in a fresh and funny fashion. My personal favourite was with "Liabilty Finch" although I was pleased to guess the twist before my partner did, it did not ruin the storyline in any way. My only grip was it finished too soon. Just as I am getting into the routinue of watching it finishes - 6 episodes is not enough for me! Hey ho, I am hustling towards the new series!
