Lie to Me is the compelling drama series inspired by the scientific discoveries of a real life psychologist who can read clues embedded in the human face, body and voice to expose the truth and lies in criminal investigations. Dr. Cal Lightman (Tim Roth) is the world's leading deception expert. By analysing facial expressions and involuntary body language, he can read feelings ranging from hidden resentment to sexual attraction to jealousy. His work gives him the knowledge and skill set to expertly mislead others as well as detect lies. But as Lightman well knows, his scientific ability is both a blessing and a curse in his personal life, where family and friends deceive each other as readily as criminals and strangers do.

Enjoy the complete collection of Lie to Me including all 3 seasons and featuring an all-star cast led by Tim Roth, Kelli Williams, Brendan Hines and Monica Raymund!

Lie to me Season 1-3

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I bought this set because I really enjoyed watching the episodes aired on TV. I like the main character's wit and humour. I was extremely disappointed when the show was cut from the air. Compared to many of the diabolical and boring shows that are airing right now, not sure don't why this truly original show was cut. I'm still waiting for season 4 :( Great show and highly recommended!

Lie To Me - Seasons 1-3

I'd hope that you're considering buying this boxset because you've seen (and enjoyed) at least one of the episodes. It's not for everyone so I wouldn't recommend that you buy it on a whim, despite how amusing Tim Roth is. He plays a genius psychologist and body language/facial expression expert who is used in various cases with or without the police to solve crimes. It is in no way your typical crime drama thingymabob, but it is based on a real bloke - there's probably something about it on wikipedia. It is a very clever series; everything 'fits' and when each episode has finished it leaves you with a very satisfied feeling. It has now unfortunately been cancelled (typical of Fox), and the last season is a great deal shorter than the others (13 episodes in comparison to 20+ in 1 and 2) which is one of two bad points for me. The other is the packaging. It's pathetic. The actual disc cases are fine, but the cardboard sleeve needs a good wrestle before it gives in. Maybe I got a faulty one, I don't know. What I hoped would be slidey slidey turned out to be flaps and I almost broke it when trying to open it carefully... be careful with it.
