All other female Police Women are just girly girls compared with DCI Jane Tennison in Prime Suspect - The Complete Collection. Only Prime Suspect can really complete with the grubby realism popular today. Helen Mirren is so brilliantly understated and so believably flawed.

Prime Suspect shows Helen Mirren at her best. She plays the tough cop out to prove that women can succeed in a mans world, and criminals and murderers had better beware. Battling the boys club mentality to gain the respect of her colleagues, she overcomes the hurdles and setbacks and helps her team solve the crimes at hand. A gripping drama for any crime fan to enjoy.
