Resident Evil 6 is the heavily anticipated addition to the legendary survival horror series, bringing back your favourite characters and the best in spine tingling suspense and action. This game revels in a global horror experience combined with chilling, adrenaline fuelled gameplay, combat, and atmosphere. Not to mention, as always, a rich and heavily textured storyline that truly draws you into the game. Welcome to Resident Evil 6.

The game is set ten years after the Raccoon City incident, and there are both new and familiar faces returning to the fray. You will have the ability to play as more than one protagonist, and each of these playable characters come with their own unique storyline, companion, motivation, and perspective on the events occurring.
One such hero is Leon S. Kennedy. You will find yourself in Washington, D.C. with the President of the United States, who is planning on revealing the truth behind the events of Raccoon City in the hopes of preventing future bioterrorist activity. However, a bioterrorist attack is launched at your location, mutating the President and setting in motion another battle for Leon's survival. Meanwhile, another hero has just touched down in China, which is also under threat of another bioterrorist attack. This hero is Chris Redfield, a Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member trying to regain control of the outbreaks wherever he can. These storylines will eventually overlap, leading to a greater plot and conclusion.
The gameplay within Resident Evil 6 is action oriented, although returns to favouring the survival horror aspect that made the series so legendary to begin with. The signature over the shoulder style camera has been incorporated once more, which gives more dynamic views of the revamped close quarters combat moves, as well as the ability to wield dual pistols. These combat improvements and introductions add to the adrenaline fuelled experience that is fighting for your life against hordes of zombies, and to the exhilerating experience that is playing Resident Evil 6. Resident Evil 6 is the most disappointing Resident Evil game in the series. It has good graphics and enjoyable co op, but a bad campaign and lack of horror. It's an average game.
A long story mode that you can play in a split screen coop campaign! Fast shipping from Zavvi as usual!
Unlike what Capcom keeps repeating, Resident Evil 6 is not a horror game, so fans who were waiting for a "Return to Origins" style will be disappointed. But this doesn't make RE6 a bad game. It keeps the action-adventure game play style introduced in RE4 and the co-op action we saw in RE5. Four separated campaign will keep you playing for over a dozen hours, which is a good goal for today's games. Each campaign has a unique feel, and even if Leon's one will be the fan's favourite campaign due to its old style atmosphere, all of them are worthy to play. Seeing the events through the eyes of multiple characters is quite interesting and keeps the game play varied. Leon's campaign is the most horror-like, Chris' is the most action-based, Jake's introduces hand to hand combat in the series due to his powers and Ada's is the most spy-like campaign. The game certainly gives its best if played in co-op alongside a friend, online or offline. Unfortunately the game play is a bit wooden and not very intuitive. Also, the graphics are unbelievably worse than Resident Evil 5! But the story is good and at this price you can enjoy an average action-adventure-shooter game. There's even a nice feature that allows you to play online in someone's campaign as a zombie, trying to make things harder for players who are playing their campaign! Overall, there were good intentions in the making, not all of them went in the right direction, but even so it's an entertaining title.
Purely due to the high quality of game play and design of the previous games in the R.E. series, Resident Evil 6 is disappointing. It's not a bad game though, and still a must buy for all R.E. fans.
Quite a letdown, lots of content, but some terrible design decisions that suck the fun out of it. It's alright for some coop-play, as it makes you laugh with some of those ridiculous boss sequences, but overall very mediocre.
Resident Evil 6 is a great game! I would recommend this for all those gamers that like 3rd person shooters. Buy it!
I am a huge fan of resident evil and I've played every game in the series. This game is good for what it is - an action shooter. It did not feel like resident evil to me, it's fast paced and has no suspense. Leon's campaign was a little scary but I wouldn't class this as a horror game. To sum up I would recommend it if you prefer 4 and 5 to the earlier games, if you prefer 0, 1, 2, 3, CVX you will be disappointed and I would try Revelations instead.
Back with the character Leon, Resident Evil 6 is another zombie killing classic. You can be joined online by other players and co-op together. Resident Evil will never die.
I find myself enjoying this game while I can see this is not a truly follower of the Resident Evil style. If you can forget the previous games you can have great fun, otherwise you should avoid it..
Having bought Resident Evil 6 out of pure curiosity, and because it was in the sale I thought I would give it a try. Being a pretty big Resident Evil fan I felt a little let down by the 5th iteration and didn't hear great things about the latest installment. Well who better to decide than me! well its a game of two halves they say and this is exactly that told from different perspectives the game takes a branching story line approach, while nothing new in the genre certainly made the game a bit more interesting. Now I wont spoil it for you but lest just say some familiar faces pop up in all the wrong places and the bio terror is in full force. overall I would give it a 3 out of 5 its not great like resident evil 4 but it's better than resident evil 5. There is a lot of replayability in this as well with the multiplayer side of things and also the xp side of things. I would probably felt a bit cheated if I had bought it full price but in the sale I can't grumble!
