If you love the Death Note Series this is a must have. Watch complete series 1 to 37 at your leisure. Bliss!

A great anime series, based on the Death Note manga. It's dark, gritty and witty throughout. It is an action packed series, with a game of cat and mouse as L heads an investigation to catch the suspected killer/"kira". With it's complex plot, this is most definitely one of the best anime series I have seen.

The anime gets my full recommendation, but this box set leaves a lot space for improvement. Quality is what you would expect from a DVD, but as of yet I'm not aware of blu-ray set or at least it wasn't listed at Zavvi at the times so it's the best we'll get. I would've preferred it if they had split the discs into few normal sized DVD cases instead of having a slim case for every disc. The cardboard box is pretty much necessity for holding the pile of slim cases together and I found design of the box quite ugly. Mine was really beaten up in mail and the glue had given up, so it's not built to last either. Overall it looks like cheap budget price collection, but in the end of the day it's Death Note.

Death Note is a brilliant Anime series. It's got everything you need, some horror and a great plot twist. The main characters are briliant both for what they do to help each other and against each other. All in all this is an Anime series that's well worth seeing.

This anime is a masterpiece. Many have tried and few have actually managed to get even close to what this anime has accomplished. It is a psychological thriller and one of the rare ones that actually might be liked by almost everybody. From the animations, to the fantastic soundtrack, this anime will leave you impressed and jaw-dropped from the first moment till the very end. The story follows a student who even among all the best marks and good life wants to do and change the world that is already falling apart by his understandings. He finds 'Death Note' and his life takes a sudden turn where he own dictates who will live and who will die. One detective stands ready to change that. One who will soon try out his luck and the battle between the justice from the both side begins. In short words this anime has few to almost none flaws. Every anime fan or every casual watcher should not miss on this. It is a must have!

I`ve been a fan of Death Note for only a few months now, but I knew that this box-set was a must have. It didn`t disappoint : the special features gave an interesting insight into the making of the show, it has both English and Japanese dubs, which is good for those who prefer one over the other, and the `booklet` with the illustrations was another nice touch. (^ w ^) If you`re a die-hard fan of this anime, I`d recommend this boxset. It`s a unique, thrilling anime with intriguing characters and a gripping plot, which keeps you guessing and wondering, right up until the end! (Also, Light FTW! ;D )
