Those that, like me, have played the first one will have nothing to complain about the game. It's VERY addictive and super cool. For those that never played/liked turn-based games I highly recommend giving this a try. Haven't tried multiplayer mode yet.

I have to admit to being a huge fan of the original series, playing them on the Amiga, consoles and pc. This game delivers to the fan and the new comer alike. If your a fan of turn based strategy games this is a must for you. The graphics are brilliant, the game play superb. You play the commander of the elite xcom operation. You control the base building, manufacturing, research and all the encounters, from intercepting and shooting down UFOs to the actual ground assaults. I have recommended this game to several friends, some of whom never played the original games or the remakes, they all have enjoyed this game. I have yet to personally try out the multiplayer feature, but i am told it is just as good as the single player. Konrack

I played the original XCOM UFO Defense back in the day and have to say that this is a really good remake / Re-envision of that old game. It's fun to play, the graphics look great, the sound effects, music and voice acting is all extremely good and fits in well It's a turn based game where you send out teams of soldiers to fight and kill / capture aliens that are invading the planet There's certainly lots to do. Researching, manufacturing, shooting down UFO's, sending your troops in to capture shot down (and even landed) UFO's, even rescuing civilians from Terror Attacks For a remake I had prepared myself for a let down, but this game is anything but! Well worth buying!
