At first I was worried about the visual style of the Borderlands but now I really like it! It looks very good - like the world from the Mad Max series. And what a game! I haven't played a game like it since Diablo 2! Fantastic looting and with all of the dlc's it is easily over 100 hours of addictive and high class action! Buy it, what are you waiting for?

Borderlands is one of the best games i have ever played. So much fun when played online with friends, makes it a lot more enjoyable and probably a bit easier. All in all a must have game for anyone! 5+ Stars

Borderlands is a game set in on another world after an apparent nuclear war and sets itself up as a land of little hope and hostility.At its heart this game is an open world first person shooter but is mixed with a unique rpg element and a great leveling system to get you hooked. The world is large with many quests apart from the main one to keep you interested, with some great boss fights and various enemies to defeat. You can go it alone, or with it's great multiplayer setup you can drop in and out of parties of up to four other players over xbox live to battle together. The main game including side quests took me over 50hrs to complete and kept me hooked start to finish. the goty edition includes four add on missions which are just as good as the main game and also help add variety to the landscape of the original game. I can not recommend this game highly enough,do yourself a favour and pick this up a well deserved 9/10

Such a fun game. Will keep you entertained for hours if that's the sort of games your looking for. Even if you don't want to be playing it for hours at a time it still allows you to save the game constantly with markers placed throughout the wasteland in the game, so can still be enjoyed in short play periods. Overall as i said such a fun game.

Borderlands. A game set on a post apocalyptic style planet, where bandits and villains rule the wastes. In a nut shell, there doesn't seem to be much going for this game, and I was wary before purchasing, but the promise of rpg/fps gameplay, and a loot system to match that of Diablo's, I couldn't resist, and it was possibly the best game I brought in 2009. You start the game being able to choose between 4 different classes. These classes have extensive skill trees which you can pump endless points in as you level up, essentially giving you a different experience up to 4 different times. After you choose your character, you have a somewhat lack-luster customization option, (changing colours, name ect), where as this is a nice addition, I think Borderlands 2 should delve more down this path. Borderlands hasn't got much of a story, there is an ancient and epic vault full of wondrous treasures, and you're out to find it. Don't let this put you off though, it's the characters you meet along the may that make this game special, the voice acting is amazing, the graphical style adds to the experience, making Borderlands seem just a bundle of fun. The game never takes it self too serious too, which is a relief seeing as every game this generation does. This game is a 100% buy, especially for this cheap with ALL DLC which carries on the story nicely after the slightly disappointing ending. Buy this game now, you won't regret it.
